Metaphysics raises questions about what reality is made of.  Ultimately, are things of different sorts which cannot be reduced to each other?  E.g., are spirit, mind, and matter convertible in some way or not?

 Thus, in this part of the course we consider the ultimate generalizations available to the human intellect about the nature of the world.
