Everyone gets what they deserve

By shaun cutler <cutlershaun@hotmail.edu>

As most people can tell you, bad kharma is something that you don't want to have. Ever heard of the saying, "what comes around, goes around"? This is getting what you deserve by the way you treat past situations. How many times have you said something negative towards a person and soon after been involved in some sort of physical or mental calamity. I know I have, many times. Your kharma is set up based on how you treat the world around you, which include the people as well. Negativity will bring you negative kharma, which in turn, are the bad things that happen. Now I know that everyone knows those wonderful people that always seem to have bad things happen to them leaving many to say, "how can that happen to such a nice person?" Well take this into account, would you rather be the one that everyone says, "he/she got what they deserved" everytime something bad happens to you, or would you rather be the one that hears, " I can't believe that happened to such a great person"?

Very true paper. If we all understand what negativity can bring along, then why don't we cut down on negativity. I thind its that easy. If you don't have anything nice to say...

My comment for the previous paper fits this one as well. Believe me, kharma does not exist. If it did, we might as well call it "God"; it judges us and punishes us in consequence (see any similarities here?). Everything that happens to us is merely the result of the great interdependence that exist between all things in our world (that includes, thoughts, feelings, emotions etc...), for it is only those things that can influence our world. So, if anything was to be called "kharma" that would be it!
For example, if a poor old lady walks in the street and gets hit by a car, she probably had bad kharma. So, did Kharma send this car on that street? Did it posses the mind of the driver (influencing his kharma in the process)? No, there is no divine intervention there. There is just and (unfortunate) coincidence triggered but the interelation of all things...

I think you did a good job. You explained your topic well, and you covered some good points. Kharma is very interesting though, and I think you showed that well.

Good paper but I have one question. Why do those people who are "so nice" have bad things happen to them?

Dowd <rdowd@lander.edu>

"what goes around, comes around" is so true. Sometimes bad things happen to good people because under it all they have a chance to something really good for others... take for instance your child dies of some strange disease... now you take up the cause to find a cure for this strange disease, and somehow your influence causes a breakthrough in medicine... good thing from a bad thing. And who knows, perhaps your child had led some horrible past lives and has bad kharma following him around...

You give good examples, they help illustrate your point.
