Conscience, Inner Voice, And Intuition
By Dowd <rdowd@student.lander.edu>
There are clear and defining differences when comparing an inner voice, a conscience, and intuition.
The conscience is the moral struggle within a person. A Conscience is helped formed through our environment, our past behavior, and our soul. Out of those three, I think the soul has the most to do with how our conscience will work. Environment and past behavior will help mold it, but ultimately these two things are not responsible for the final moral decision. That decision is placed squarely on the soul.
The inner voice, that I would have to say probably everyone has heard at least once in their life, is closely related to the soul. It is that nagging feeling inside your whole body that you need to do something. Whether you listen to that voice, or feeling(gut feeling), is up to you, but it is there regardless of your actions. Something inside you tells you to move to the left, and so you do. Suddenly there is this falling debris from the 15th story of the building next to you that lands right where you were. That was your soul, or inner voice, looking out for you. I feel that our souls do a lot of looking and listening that we don't even realize. Our souls see things that we would never be able to see regardless of how well we train our physical bodies to notice everything.
And finally, intuition is the subconscious doing of something. Something we do even though we don't know why we do it. It is saying the right thing to someone without even thinking about it, or acknowledging that we knew we needed to say that. Intuition is instinct. It is a base understanding of any situation on a purely subconscious level. There is no "nagging feeling that I should do something," there is just me doing it without being prompted.

Will Mulkey <wrmulkey@hotmail.com>Nice paper! You explain each point clearly and appear to have a good undersatnding of each. Good examples.
Scott Elingburg <kehoutek@hotmail.com>An excellent paper, though I am a little confused as to how our environment shapes our soul. It seems to me that the soul is completely separate from anything in the empirical world including our environment. But I like the idea that our souls speak to us often and we choose either to ignore it or not to listen when it speaks.
Peter Rutanga <wung32@hotmail.com>You wrote your thoughts impressively well, but I don't agree with them. There is just too much subconscience activity in your paper. According to your ideas, our actual cognitive functions have very little influence on our actions. Everything is the "soul" looking out for us, or intuition acting for us. I guess I blindly overthink that I have control over my life, and your paper takes it all away from me. Exellent work though!
Travis Galloway <hyperdedo@hotmail.com>Great work, I liked reading you paper right after the other inner voice paper because it was interesting to see the similarities and differerences.. I like the points you made...

Anna C. Nance <eirendel@yahoo.com>It's a well thought out paper, though I don't agree with your view that the soul controls the body. I think the soul is what you are, and that it transcends the body.
