Oriental Philosophies are often studied by way of what has been termed "objective" or "neutral" comparisons with Western Philosophy. 

Unfortunately, this manner of approaching Oriental Philosophies is misleading.   Our best hope for understanding is to approach our study of these philosophies from the inside, insofar as possible.
