Writing a Paper on the Web

Step 1: On the Ethics Home Page, click "Ethics Papers Submission."

Step 2: If you are posting a new paper, click on the word "here." If you are commenting on a paper already on the Web, click on the paper title you wish to comment on. Our example clicks on "Sample Paper."

Step 3: Next, to submit a comment to the first paper (entitled "A Sample Paper"), first click on the hyperlink "here" on the screen.

Step 4: On the screen similar to the one below, write in your name, e-mail address, and comments. You can cut and paste your paper or comments from your word processing program into the text box, if you choose not to type directly to the text box on the Web page. Finally, click "Submit Comment" only once and wait a moment. If you click "Submit Comment" more than once your comment will appear more than once on the Web page.

Step 5: With most browsers, you will need to click the "Refresh" or "Reload" button on the toolbar to see your comment or paper.

Step 6: After refreshing or reloading, you should see your comments.
